YOU power this movement by young people, for young people.

Hi there,

I grew up in a family, culture, and school where talking about sex was forbidden. I didn’t get any information about birth control, and I knew that when I went on birth control, it had to be a secret.

I had no experience navigating our health care system. Finding time to get a doctors appointment around my school and work schedule was really hard, and having to deal with this with no insurance on top of that made it even more challenging. I also found out that birth control would be $120 per month, a huge barrier for me since I was a low-income student at the time.

I struggled to find affordable and reliable birth control that was right for my body. As a result, I experienced an unintended pregnancy even though I was taking steps to avoid one.

No one should have to go through what I went through just to get birth control. That is why I joined the Free the Pill Youth Council working to make a birth control pill available over the counter.

Donate today to help youth activists like me fight to #FreeThePill

I believe birth control should be available over the counter to become accessible to everyone who needs it. We need contraception to be more accessible, more available, and more affordable. Hundreds of activists across the country agree with me, and we are organizing online, on our campuses, and in our communities to get an over-the-counter pill that is affordable, covered by insurance, and available to people of all ages.

Advocates for Youth provides training, materials, feedback, and connections to hundreds of activists every year. They’re the reason I am able to advocate to help myself and other young people stay healthy and protect our futures.

Will you join me in supporting Advocates for Youth with a tax-deductible donation?

Sincerely,

Victoria
