Dear John, As a two-time breast cancer survivor, I know how important affordable healthcare is to our families. That is why I am fighting as hard as I can to bring the cost of healthcare down; I am proud to say my bill with Senator Warnock to cap the cost of insulin at $35/month for all seniors on Medicare was included in the recent Inflation Reduction Act, which passed the Senate!
And to be clear, our work is still not over – we’re continuing our fight to pass the assault weapons ban. I’ve led the charge on gun reform since I was first elected in 2018, but it’s been an uphill battle going against the NRA-backed Republicans in office. We must learn from recent tragedies in Uvalde and Highland Park and take action now to stop this epidemic of mass shootings.
