It’s Awesome, Baby!” An Evening with Dick Vitale
VIP reception and conversation at The Palladium Theater on Sept. 17
Hi friends,
Tom Jones here. You may know me as the former sports columnist at the Tampa Bay Times. Now, I'm working for Poynter as senior media writer.
These two passions for sports and media are colliding at an upcoming Poynter event where I get to interview legendary basketball sportscaster Dickie V. at the Palladium. You'll know him from his Vitale-isms like “Awesome, Baby!,” “PTP’er” (prime-time player), “M & M’er” (a mismatch), “Rolls Roycer” (a flat out superstar) and “diaper dandy” (freshman star).
I will ask him about his insights as a player, coach and commentator who’s called more than a thousand games. Join me?
