Unprecedented Arc

Governor Holcomb continues to make history. This week, he laid out his 2020 Next Level Agenda (read more about that below), which is earning accolades for its focus on promoting the health and safety of Hoosiers, as well as addressing many of the concerns of Hoosier educators. And as we begin to look toward the end of 2019, Governor Holcomb is making history with his campaign as well. As Howey Politics Indiana described it ([link removed][UNIQID]) , it truly is an “unprecedented arc.”

That’s because Governor Holcomb’s campaign, Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch’s campaign and your Indiana Republican Party will have a higher year-end cash-on-hand balance – both combined and individually – than any other Indiana governor going into their re-election year. Combined, these three entities currently have $8.25 million in the bank…and this number could go even higher before we officially close the books on 2019.

I said it in Howey Politics Indiana ([link removed][UNIQID]) , and I’ll say it here as well: Governor Holcomb’s re-election campaign is hitting on all cylinders. That's because our fundraising, our messaging, and our ground game are in full gear.

When it comes to that ground game, it really launched back in 2018. The party led now-Senator Mike Braun's voter contact campaign, with full-time staff, interns, and volunteers making more than 2.5 million contacts. We flexed that muscle again this year as Governor Holcomb campaigned for mayoral candidates across the state, helping Indiana go from a +7 Republican mayoral advantage to a +23 Republican advantage in city halls. And, of course, this year the team collected the required signatures to get Governor Holcomb on the 2020 ballot in record time.

We’re in perpetual motion, and we’re not stopping now. It truly is an unprecedented arc. Check out the full story here ([link removed][UNIQID]) .

Governor Holcomb's Week That Was

Putting People First: 2020 Agenda Announcement

On Tuesday, Governor Holcomb announced his 2020 Next Level Agenda. His agenda focuses on Putting People First by improving quality of life for Hoosiers across the state.
* Governor Holcomb wants to continue creating a strong and diverse economy by transforming how we tell Indiana’s story, with the goal of attracting more jobs, more talent and more tourism. Governor Holcomb is also going to use Indiana's growing status as a defense hub to triple defense investment in our state.
* Governor Holcomb wants to keep Hoosiers connected with reliable and efficient infrastructure connectivity. That means continuing to connect unserved Hoosiers with broadband access, as well as maintaining our highways and landing more nonstop international flights. Governor Holcomb also wants to keep Hoosiers safe on the road by decreasing distracted driving and enacting a hands-free device driving law.
* Governor Holcomb is continuing to develop a 21st century workforce. One of his top priorities will be finding long-term, sustainable solutions to improve teacher compensation, as well as removing unfunded, burdensome mandates. By retaining and attracting our state's teachers, Hoosier kids will continue receiving the best education to prepare for the future. Governor Holcomb is also dedicated to improving prison education systems to help offenders find success and contribute to the workforce when they re-enter society.
* Governor Holcomb is continuing to improve our state's public health and fight the drug epidemic. The rapid increase in Hoosier youth smoking is alarming, and that's why Governor Holcomb is calling to raise the age to purchase all tobacco products from 18 to 21. The 2020 agenda also includes ways to provide healthcare price transparency, fight the drug epidemic, and continue to work to make Indiana home to the Midwest's lowest infant mortality rate by 2024.
* Governor Holcomb also wants to continue delivering great government service to Hoosiers by saving them over $125 million and simplifying how Hoosiers can reach out for health and human services assistance by integrating the 2-1-1 helpline into FSSA call centers.

Governor Holcomb's 2020 Next Level Agenda continues Putting People First. The five pillars in the Next Level Agenda are forward-thinking solutions to improve the lives of Hoosiers around Indiana!
