Earlier this week, we launched a new ad to bring my story to families across Miami-Dade, and we wanted to make sure you got a chance to see it.

As a child, I was forced to flee my home country, Angola, without my parents. Because I believed in giving back to the country I now called home, I went on to join the Connecticut Army National Guard and became the first Female Soldier of the Year in the state’s history.

I’m determined to bring that spirit of service to the State Senate and will fight to do what is right for our community by lowering costs, creating more good-paying jobs, improving access to health care, and protecting our rights.

Ruth’s List is working to elect Democratic pro-choice women like me across Florida, and I’m honored to stand with them in the fight to protect our reproductive freedom.

Ileana Garcia said that human trafficking victims benefit from abortion bans and wants to ban ALL abortion in the state of Florida. When I’m elected, I will fight back against this extremist thinking and work to reverse Florida's 15-week ban.

This is one of the most competitive races in Florida, friend , and with our rights on the line, it’s more important than ever that we win in November.
