Everyone is invited to join this years Nottinghamshire Pride celebrations in the city the largest event of its kind in the East Midlands.

The Pride parade will start on the corner of Lister Gate in the city at 11am and finish on the rainbow road in Broad Street.

Over 8,000 people from Nottinghams diverse population and visitors from all over the country are expected to fill the streets for the annual celebration that gives the LGBT+ community enormous visibility, a vibrant platform to educate people on LGBT+ issues and a safe place for LGBT+ people to meet a range of incredibly supportive organisations.

As soon as the parade comes to an end, the Sheriff of Nottingham will kick off the afternoon celebrations at 12pm with a speech on the main stage on Heathcoat Street.

There will be over 40 stalls along Heathcoat and Broad Street with opportunities to chat to local businesses, visit the free glitter make-up tent, learn about LGBT+ history, do a spot of shopping and find out more information about the essential services on offer to LGBT+ people across the city.

A packed entertainment programme will continue on the main stage up to 6pm, followed by a vigil and then a variety of after parties to choose from some ending as late as 7am!

Most of the film's significant characters, apart from Bowie and Connelly, are played by puppets produced by *Jim Henson's Creature Shop*.

The new luxury resort experience in Old Market Square - Playa Day Club and Restaurant is FREE to enter, walk ins are welcome, although it is advised that visitors book if they wish to reserve a day-bed or pool pod. In addition, restaurant bookings can be made online as well as on-site.

The restaurant is open tofamilies between 12:00-5:00pm daily, There is a new set menu [ [link removed] ].
However, after 5pm the entire venue will be an 18+ zone.
