The last couple of months have only crystalized what is at stake this November. With the Supreme Court’s reckless decision to overturn Roe v. Wade , the election in November has become even more critical.

In North Carolina, the right to a safe and legal abortion is still protected. And as your Attorney General, I will defend your rights under state law.

But this is a national issue and the fundamental right to choose must be protected everywhere in our country. That requires the U.S. Senate to act.

So our only option, if we are going to codify the right to reproductive freedom for every woman in this country, is to mobilize in one of the most competitive Senate races in the country. Cheri Beasley is ready to vote to secure reproductive rights.

North Carolina has been rated by CNN as one of the Senate seats most likely to flip this year. But the truth is, Cheri cannot do this alone.
