Comments and Responses on Draft Behavioral Health Services HB 4 Telecommunications Policy Available

In alignment with*?*House Bill 4 (87th Legislative Session, 2021), HHSC has developed draft policy changes to allow covered services through telemedicine, telehealth and audio-only delivery if clinically appropriate and cost effective.

*Behavioral Health Services*

In addition to HB 4 updates, HHSC has developed draft policy changes in alignment with Senate Bill 1921 (87th Legislative Session, 2021). These changes will allow non-local mental health authorities (also referred to as private providers) to deliver mental health targeted case management and mental health rehabilitation services to persons in fee-for-service Medicaid.
