We're supporting New American candidates changing the face of leadership

John,

It’s been an exciting summer at NALAF! The team researched tens of New American campaigns and vetted 41 grassroots community leaders to form our impressive 2022 slate of candidates. Despite the challenges of the political terrain, NALAF endorsees are delivering impressive primary wins on the road to the general election.

You will be happy to know that NALAF endorsees have a 61% win rate, proving that organized, community-based campaigns win the day!

Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib handily won her primary against three challengers, despite dark money groups pouring $700,000 into her opponents’ campaigns. Maryland Delegate Gabriel Acevero, a long-time labor and community organizer in office, won his primary race, even as fellow legislators sent out a flyer attributing Acevero’s legislative accomplishments in office to his challenger, who has never held office.

These NALAF endorsees were victorious because of their service to constituents and courage in the face of attacks from within the Beltway. With each primary and election cycle, NALAF builds power for New Americans; with your donation, we can become an unstoppable force this November.

Having witnessed early victories for our endorsees this primary season, NALAF will redouble our efforts to uplift fierce community advocates. Make a gift of $250, $100, $75, or $50 today to help NALAF’s slate of candidates so you can be part of history this midterm season!

I’m glad to have you in this fight!

Onward to November,
Basi Alonso
