Today we are launching out newest resource, The Climate Crisis and Breast Cancer.
This groundbreaking document explains the connection between the fossil-fueled climate crisis and the growing threat to those living with and at risk of breast cancer.
The environmental impacts are a double-edged sword with fossil fuels on one side and climate change on the other. The fossil fuel continuum exposes us to dangerous chemicals that contaminate our air, soil, and water, and the fossil fuel industry is one of the largest contributors to the climate crisis.
We all feel the collective effects of climate crisis, however this crisis deepens prevailing health inequities for frontline communities. Low-income and BIPOC communities continue to be disproportionately burdened by the compounded impacts of both the fossil fuel industry and the climate crisis.
Health justice = environmental justice.
We must do more than acknowledge climate change as an issue. We hope that this resource helps you connect the dots between fossil fuels, climate change, and breast cancer, all of which are undeniably intertwined. Join the movement and learn how to take a stand against climate change in the name of breast cancer and public health.
