I work with the media and every day I see reporters interview and feature anti-abortion activists alongside actual abortion experts because they claim to need to cover “both sides.”

Let me be clear: Science, evidence, and medicine don’t have an “other side." Highlighting anti-abortion extremists instead of the real experts legitimizes and spreads dangerous misinformation and disinformation. Even worse, it increases threats and harassment against people having abortions and everyone who helps them get that care.

In response, PRH just shared an open letter signed by 600+ experts asking for a commitment from media outlets to recognize the true danger of spreading the lies peddled by anti-abortion extremists.
