I am proud to announce the House of Representatives just passed the Inflation Reduction Act!

It is the biggest investment in American history toward fighting climate change, lowers prescription drug prices, and also establishes a minimum corporate tax so that the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share.

The bill is now on its way to President Biden’s desk for his signature.

This is why Americans elected Democrats to lead Congress: to deliver for working families across our country.

With the passage of this bill into law, seniors will not spend more than $2,000 per year on prescription drugs, and nearly 13 million Americans covered under the Affordable Care Act will see their health insurance premiums significantly reduced.

The bill also makes the largest investment in American history toward combating the climate crisis already at our doorstep. It strengthens our energy security, creates jobs in the clean energy sector, and places us on track to significantly reduce planet-warming greenhouse emissions by 2030.
