From changes in what can be tolerated during treatment to increased motivation to adopt a healthier lifestyle, nutrition plays an important role in recovery. That's why, we selected Nutrition to be a focus area for our 2022 Solution Grants.

Kids Kicking Cancer

Livestrong is proud to fund the Kickin’ it in the Kitchen Project, which brings young cancer patients and their families together to learn how to cook healthy meals.The program has remote reach and is 100% free to participants.

Hennepin Healthcare Foundation
|
|
|
Hennepin's goal is to empower patients by giving them access to on-staff registered dietitians. These RDs help food-insecure patients learn to plan meals on a budget and purchase culturally specific healthy foods.

"The grant will have an immediate impact by providing food security through grocery delivery to high-risk patients. By providing groceries, we help overcome barriers to achieving wellness such as transportation, financial toxicity and nutritional education."

Founded by Dr. Limon Goren, a cancer researcher with a PhD in Molecular Biology, kyoord is striving to spread awareness about a holistic approach to health by bringing high-phenolic olive oil (also referred to as Medicinal Grade olive oil) to consumers everywhere.
