John,

My opponent Max Miller was recorded calling working people “takers” and stated workers “have a sense of entitlement” and that they “take take take take but they never give.”

We’re not taking Max out of context. Take a listen for yourself.

Max just showed his contempt for the hardworking people of Ohio’s 7th district. The vast majority of us have worked our entire adult lives to make ends meet, but he says we’re “entitled” and all we do is “take.”

Let me be very clear: working people aren’t “takers.” They sign the front of a check every time they pay for rent, childcare, and taxes.

These comments are appalling, but we’re not surprised. We already knew that Max has no idea what it’s like to work for a living. He’s worth up to fourteen million dollars just off of his trust funds. Max doesn’t even hold a job and he makes more than the average American.

When my parents worked long hours just to put food on the table, they sure as hell weren’t “takers.” But Max thinks that hardworking Ohioans like them just leach off of rich people like him.

Max doesn’t represent us. Can you donate $20 or more to make sure that he doesn’t get a seat in Congress?

Sincerely,

Matthew Diemer
