[Back to School: Supporting Our Mental Health]([link removed])

Please join the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for a special panel event, “Back to School: Supporting Our Mental Health,” at 3 pm ET, August 17 on [Facebook Live]([link removed]) and [YouTube]([link removed]).

The discussion will be focused on how parents, teachers and other adults can support young people and school-based mental health efforts as students return to the classroom. Sharing examples and strategies that will take into consideration the challenges and perspectives of youth during this unique time in our history and culture, panelists will include:

- Dr. Doreen Marshall (Moderator) – Vice President of Mission Engagement, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
- Ms. Jill Cook – Executive Director, the American School Counselor Association
- Ms. Alma Lopez – 2022 School Counselor of the Year, lead school counselor at California’s Livingston Middle School
