Friend,
This past year Republicans have made strides in restoring common sense law and order in the Commonwealth. We at the Republican Party of Virginia want to highlight the fantastic work our Delegates and Senators in the General Assembly were able to accomplish this past session.
Today’s spotlight is on Delegate Wren Williams. Before the Governor signed HB 1303 ( [link removed] ) into law, Virginia’s Parole Board votes were not subjected to the Freedom of Information Act–meaning that they could make questionable decisions without any repercussions or accountability.
It’s simple: Virginian’s deserve to know what their government is doing and how the law is being administered. Over the past few years, the Parole Board has made decisions that are not in line with the values of the people, and have even released prisoners without letting the victims of the crimes know they were being released.
It is clear that Republicans are leading the way to make Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Be on the lookout for more GOP Wins from this last session as we continue to thank our great elected officials for the hard work that they are doing!
