I have about 10 minutes of free time in my schedule today. I know that doesn’t sound like a lot of time, but with a schedule like mine, I can assure you I’m using it wisely.

And while I know our campaign sends a lot of emails, I want to take a few of these minutes to explain why your support today is so important to our success.

As you know, this year’s midterm elections are an opportunity to protect and expand our Democratic majority, which will allow us to keep making progress on the issues that we all know are so important—like protecting key benefits for Veterans and military families, codifying Roe v. Wade into law and preventing gun violence in our communities.

But we are facing an uphill battle to protect our majority and Mitch McConnell knows that. He and National Republicans could pour millions of dollars into our race to prop up my anti-choice opponent.

That’s why it’s important that we put up strong fundraising numbers this month. So, please:

Can you rush a contribution of $10 or any amount you can afford, before our mid-month deadline at midnight? I would not ask if it wasn’t so important.
