Friend – you may not know this about me, but before I was a proud senator or the senior pastor at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church, I was a young kid who grew up in public housing on the west side of Savannah, Georgia.

If you told me back then that I'd get to serve the people of Georgia in the United States Senate, I’m not sure I would have believed you. But that’s the thing about my story – it's only possible here in America. 

But the opportunities that took me from Kayton Homes public housing to Washington are becoming further and further out of reach for too many. That’s why I'm fighting to make sure every child can achieve their American Dream, but I'm going to need your help to keep up the fight. 

NPR is calling me the most vulnerable Democratic senator up for reelection, and the GOP is spending MILLIONS to launch attack ads and defeat me. With polls showing me one point behind my GOP opponent, Herschel Walker, we set an ambitious $300,000 mid-month goal so we can pull ahead and win.

But we're running out of time before our mid-month deadline, and we're still dangerously short of our goal. So please, friend, I'm counting on you to help close the gap: Will you give $5 or more right now so we can fight back against GOP attacks, win in Georgia, and build a better, brighter future for all?
