"Youngstown market kicks off statewide expansion of the pilot project"

InnovateOhio will manage the expansion of this project across the state throughout the remainder of 2019 and the first half of 2020.
Get In Line, Online was launched as a pilot project in June at 13 locations in Franklin, Cuyahoga, and Hancock counties. On average, a Get In Line, Online customer spent nearly 15 fewer minutes waiting in-person at a deputy registrar location during the pilot project.
Get in Line, Online has been a huge success and has saved Ohioans nearly 6,000 hours of time they would have spent standing in line at the BMV that they instead were able to spend doing literally anything else, said Lt. Governor Husted. Having been a Get In Line, Online customer myself, I can say for sure that it makes the BMV experience significantly better for everyone.
With todays announcement, all BMV locations in Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties will be able to use Get In Line, Online. The pilot locations [ [link removed] ] also remain active.
The system was developed to better serve Ohio drivers who visit deputy registrars for services such as license renewal or vehicle registration. The system allows customers to Get in Line, Online before arriving at the BMV. After checking in online, customers have a four-hour window to arrive at the deputy registrar location, check in at a self-service kiosk, and claim their spot in line.
Time is valuable and the most important aspect of customer service, said Ohio BMV Registrar Charles Norman. This expansion strengthens our commitment to improving and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Through the use of the new system, BMVs will continually review wait and processing times to further manage efficiency and improve customer service.
