In a moment, I’m going to ask that you make a contribution to my campaign to help me defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley in Iowa. Permit me to explain why this request is so important – especially today.

We are facing at midnight tonight the biggest and most important mid-month fundraising deadline we’ve faced yet.

Up until now, our fundraising has been going very well – but there is now a realization within the GOP that they need ‘big bucks’ to attack even my record of service.

But right now, our fundraising has started to slow down while I’m zorching around the state meeting with voters. Outreach is good news; a rollback of donations is not.

We need to pick up the pace again or we risk falling short. And with Senate control at stake, we cannot afford to let that happen.
