Blumenthal Continues to Fail CT As Food Prices Surge 13.1%
GREENWICH, CT - After passing the Senate late last week with Senator Dick Blumenthal's support, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the ridiculously-named Inflation Reduction Act on Friday. At a time when Connecticut families are struggling to afford rising grocery costs with 13.1% price increases, Blumenthal's challenger Leora Levy called out her opponent for his vote to raise taxes and prices further on middle class families.
Levy issued the following statement:
“After thirty-seven years in statewide office, Dick Blumenthal has played a key role in creating virtually every challenge our country faces today. Blumenthal is a rubber stamp for every Biden-Pelosi policy that is failing our country and our state. There are countless families worried about how they are going to feed their families, pay the mortgage and heat their homes this winter. Joe Biden created these rising prices, and Dick Blumenthal has done nothing to fix it. Dick's vote will make things worse for Connecticut yet again.
"I am nobody’s rubber stamp!"
