Our mid-quarter deadline is tomorrow — the halfway point between FEC deadlines, when our fundraising numbers are published for the public to see.

We’ve said it before: These FEC deadlines can have a major impact on the course of a campaign.

Posting strong fundraising totals and a large base of grassroots donors could deter outside spending. But showing signs of vulnerability could invite attacks from the right.

We use the mid-quarter point to ensure we’re on track to hit our internal goals and file the strongest fundraising report possible at the end of September. But we’re only 40% of the way toward that goal — which is why we’re asking you today:
