Friend, it's hard to believe that we're less than 100 days out from Election Day.
When I first made the decision to run for Senate, I knew this race would be one of the toughest I've ever faced. And at its core, my campaign has always been about making the people I love proud.
Growing up poor, Black and female in the 1960s South meant that I didn't have a whole lot – but I did have unconditional love. Sometimes I wonder who I would be and what I would be doing if I didn't have a family who was determined to make me shine at all costs.
Because the truth is, if my father hadn't taken an advance out on his paycheck to send me on a school trip to D.C., if my mother had never told me to "never tire of doing good," if I hadn't had the support system of my six older siblings, all of my success may not have been possible.
So friend, this campaign started as part of my mission to never tire of doing good and as a way to make my loved ones proud – but now it's about more than that.
Right now, the very soul of our nation is at risk, and this is likely to all come down to Florida. I cannot flip Florida blue without your support, so can I count on you to give $5 right now to defend our Senate majority?
With reproductive rights, voting rights, climate action and gun violence prevention reforms all hinging on whether or not Democrats can defend and expand our razor-thin Senate majority, my run for U.S. Senate in Florida is bigger than me.
Friend, Floridians are voting RIGHT NOW, and with yesterday's news that this race is now officially TIED, I need more resources to reach them. Please, as we enter the final phase of the election year, will you donate $5 before midnight tomorrow so I can fight back against the GOP's attacks, defeat Rubio and keep the Senate blue?

Thank you,
