The wait is finally over. After weeks of anticipation, it’s finally the 87th anniversary of Social Security.

Social Security benefits all Americans — in Connecticut’s 1st District, there are more than 146,000 beneficiaries of Social Security. In our state, over 695,000 people rely on Social Security every month. Across the country, over 65 million Americans benefit from Social Security.

One thing is clear: Millions rely on this vital program, and we must keep fighting to protect it.

That’s why I have set a goal to raise $8,700 by MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.
