John,
At a time when Republican extremists are actively working against LGBTQ
rights at all levels, it’s never been more important for DFA members to
stand up and fight back.
Throughout 2022, Republican extremists have ramped up their attacks on the
very existence and identity of transgender Americans, and it’s up to us to
stop them.
In fact, in 2022 alone over 160 anti-trans bills have been introduced, and
21 of them have fully been passed into law.
Their campaign of hate hurts trans youth the most, with 52% of youth who
identify as transgender contemplating suicide in the last year alone.

major consequences-- if we don't fight back. Join us in demanding that
Congress pass the Trans Bill of Rights!

Protecting the rights of our transgender friends, neighbors and loved ones
is an important part of challenging Republican power.
If passed, The Trans Bill of Rights would protect trans Americans’ access
to healthcare, employment, and housing. Among other crucial protections
the bill would:
* Add gender identity and sex characteristics to the Civil Rights Act
protections against discrimination
* Prohibit employment, housing, and credit discrimination against trans
people and their families
* Expand access to gender-affirming medical care, codify the right to
abortion and contraception, and ban forced surgery on intersex
children.

Rights Now!

Thank you for all you do.
