GOP Rep. Duncan Hunter just pled guilty to a felony and will resign from
Congress. The Islamophobic Trump stooge will soon be behind bars.

There’s only one problem: disgraced former congressman and billionaire
conspiracy theorist Darrell Issa is running to take Hunter’s place.

Darrell Issa might be the one Republican who’s worse than Duncan Hunter --
but Issa just moved to this district, so voters don’t know him. And with
his money, he might be able to buy this seat. We can’t let that happen.

[ [link removed] ]Will you make a donation to help put an ad on the Facebook page of
every voter in the district to make sure they know how extreme Darrell
Issa is so we can defeat him in the special election?

When he represented the 49th district, Darrell Issa used his position as
Oversight Committee chair to push anti-Obama conspiracy theories like
birtherism, to shame women who use birth control ... and the list goes
on.(1)

Now Issa thinks the 50th district is his for the taking. But not if voters
know how extreme he is.

When Courage Campaign helped flip seven seats from red to blue in 2018,
Hunter only squeaked by with racist, Islamophobic attacks against
progressive Democrat Ammar Campa-Najjar.

In 2020, we can help defeat Issa and elect Campa-Najjar with a Facebook ad
on the page of every voter in the district, combined with a major
expansion of one of the most effective tactics for getting out the vote:
text messaging.

Here's why text messaging is so effective: More and more people are
screening their calls, and young people, especially, don't have
landlines. And while 80% of emails are never even opened, 90% of text
messages are read within five minutes.
