I recently endorsed my friend Kristen Gonzalez’s campaign for state senate in the newly-drawn District 59, which now spans across three boroughs.
I know that Kristen will be a champion for all of the different communities that it encompasses, and will fight tirelessly to support working people, build a more sustainable future, and bring much needed transparency to Albany. But she’s running in a competitive primary against an opponent funded by big money.
As you may know, primary elections are on August 23rd, so Kristen will need all the help she can get from us in these last weeks. That’s why I’m asking:
Kristen is a Queens native committed to tackling the affordable housing crisis, curbing climate change, and addressing the growing inequality in our city.
But running a bold campaign based on delivering progressive change means going up against the establishment, so she can not do this alone. That’s why she needs your support:

If we want Kristen in the state senate fighting for the issues we all care about, including Good Cause eviction, the Build Public Renewables Act, and a Green New Deal, she’ll need the same influx of grassroots support.
