Make sure Cori has the resources to continue organizing and legislating for anti-racist, progressive change in Congress.
John,
We want to be candid with you about one of the threats Cori and our movement are currently facing: The far-right is pouring millions of dollars into races across the country to attempt to weaken our progressive movement.
Just take a look at a few of these headlines:
"Alarming": GOP quietly funnels millions into Democratic primaries to wipe out progressives — Slate, August 8, 2022
Outside groups spending millions to sway U.S. House race centered on Detroit — The Detroit News, July 22, 2022
Cori Bush's path to re-election faces Republicans and revenge: Lacy Clay aide, GOP operatives organize dark money groups to oppose her — KSDK, July 20, 2022
Thanks to this team, Cori defeated our corporate-backed opponent in MO-01's primary election earlier this month. But right-wing forces came out against Cori in the Democratic primary, and they are not going to let up anytime soon.
Cori is leading a people-powered movement to transform our politics — but she can't make progress without the support of this grassroots team. Cori doesn't accept a cent from corporate PACs, so we've set a goal to raise $15,000 by tomorrow's mid-month deadline to stay on track with our August fundraising goals.
Please, will you chip in $5 or more before tomorrow's mid-month deadline to help us hit our $15,000 goal and re-elect the first activist from the movement in defense of Black lives elected to federal office?
Contribute
From introducing the Green New Deal for Cities and the Keeping Renters Safe Act to delivering over $1 billion for St. Louis, Cori has accomplished a lot in her first term in office. But we know this movement is about so much more than just one person.
If we're going to pass critical legislation like Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and the People's Response Act, we need to keep our progressive movement growing in Congress.
John, will you contribute today to help hit our critical $15,000 goal and make sure Cori has the resources to continue organizing and legislating for anti-racist, progressive change in Congress?
Together,
Team Cori
