We won't stand by while Republicans attack seniors' right to vote.

Friend,

Did you know that since Republicans passed their voter suppression bill (SB 1) last year, unprecedented numbers of mail ballot applications have been rejected? Even Willie Nelson and his wife’s applications were rejected!

Texas Republicans may want to attack our seniors’ freedom to vote, but Friend, we won’t stand by and let it happen.

We used what we learned during the primary earlier this year and designed an application that will avoid many of the pitfalls that resulted in ballots being rejected, and we’re dedicated to supporting mail voters every step of the way to make sure they can vote! We’ve set a huge goal to send 500,000 mail ballot applications to Democratic seniors -- and y’all know that a postage stamp ain't cheap.

Friend, to hit this ambitious goal we’ll need to raise $375,000 by September 15 -- and we need your help to get us there. Can you chip in $22 now to send out 40 mail ballot applications to eligible Democratic voters and get us a step closer to victory in November?

We knew from the beginning the implications of SB 1 would directly hurt senior voters. We cannot let decades' worth of work to mobilize voters be thwarted by Republicans.

Every election counts. Every vote counts. Every mail ballot counts. We’re counting on you to help us save our state from Republican extremism for generations to come.

Let’s keep fighting,

Rose Clouston
Voter Protection Director
