voters to the polls; state votes to defend abortion access
Friends – Something incredible happened in Kansas. In a state that
Republicans carry by twenty points, Kansas voters came out in record
numbers and rejected a ballot measure to remove the right to an abortion
from the state consitution by DOUBLE DIGITS.

Nearly half of the state’s registered voters turned out, matching voter
turnout from the 2008 Presidential election. This is unheard of for a
midterm, mid-summer vote.

Voter turnout was expected to be around 35% – Instead, it clocked in
closer to 51% and could indicate that this year’s midterm elections could
have [ [link removed] ]some of the highest voter turnout in modern history. That’s why we
