Team,
Last week, Nebraska was ranked #1 Nationally in childhood well-being by the Annie E. Casey Foundation! This is huge news for our friends at Raise The Wage Nebraska, who are fighting to hold steady this progress by raising wages for working families.
But as prices continue to rise, wages in Nebraska haven’t kept up. Many parents can’t afford to pay rent and put food on the table with a minimum wage of $9 an hour.
At Fairness Project, we know that raising wages can lift families out of poverty and is key to maintaining a low-child poverty rate in Nebraska and across the country. That’s why winning this campaign in Nebraska is so critical — and team, we need to know we have your backing. Will you sign our pledge and fight alongside Raise the Wage Nebraska to support Nebraska’s children and keep working families out of poverty?
If Raise the Wage Nebraska wins this November, 150,000 Nebraskans will immediately benefit from this campaign’s victory!
The way we value labor says a lot about how we value our families. Let’s show Nebraska’s children and working families that they have our support by signing our pledge to fight alongside them today!
Thanks for all your support,
Fairness Project
