We know that we email a lot asking for you to donate to support Roy’s work for North Carolina. You deserve to know exactly why we ask and where that support goes.

For the next three months, Roy is spending much of his time and energy supporting legislative candidates who share our Democratic values and will help uphold his veto power. This work is key to making sure far-right Republicans in Raleigh can’t roll back reproductive and voting rights (or enact the rest of their extreme agenda) in our state.

Team Cooper directly provides resources to some legislative candidates — since we have such a committed base of grassroots supporters (like you!), it is much easier for us to raise significant funds. Those resources are already making a huge difference in Democrats’ fight for North Carolina.

However, if we can’t continue to increase our fundraising, we might have to scale back those efforts — and right now, our August numbers aren’t keeping pace with what we need to bring in.
