Esther* was just six years old when she was trafficked into slavery.

Every day, she worked long hours smoking fish on the shores of Lake Volta.

Underfed, beaten and treated like property, Esther was trapped for nearly ten years.

With the leadership of a brave boy rescued from slavery, IJM joined police and helped rescue Esther and several other children.
