Friends, one year ago Congressman Tom McClintock voted against federal funding to hire permanent firefighters and invest in forest fire prevention. So I announced to run against him.
McClintock was so scared to lose, he ran off to a redder district, and now we have a real chance to flip this district blue and elect a conservation champion.
In November, I’m facing off against Kevin Kiley, who refuses to believe in climate change or even acknowledge that California is in a drought. Kiley has Donald Trump in his corner, but I’ve got the League of Conservation Voters — and hopefully you, too.
