All throughout American history, civil rights groups have fought to gain access to the most fundamental American right -- the right to vote. They fought against the full-blown denial of voting rights to women and people of color, literacy tests, and poll taxes.

In the modern day, we are faced with different, but no less dangerous, threats to voting. We’re fighting against gerrymandering, voter suppression, election denialism, and disenfranchisement of minority communities.

The fight for voting rights is ever-changing, but persists nonetheless.

We have a duty to carry on the legacy of those who risked their lives protecting voting rights. Our focus is now on the 2022 midterm elections and our new partnership with Power the Polls.

To combat recent voter suppression tactics, we need poll workers who wholeheartedly support American democracy.
