On Thursday, Alexandra emailed her top supporters to find out what’s getting voters excited this election, and what you’d want Democrats to do more of to mobilize people to the polls.

Her survey has been live for less than 48 hours, and our team has already received a flood of responses—hundreds of people have shared their frustrations, their hopes, their motivations and their ideas—and what you’re saying is pretty telling.

Here are just a few of the answers you gave:

“People over profits. People over guns. Environmental protections. People over student loans.”

“I’m a lesbian and I’m concerned about my marriage being deemed invalid by SCOTUS.”

“If someone is fighting for that change, I’m there.”

“That my one vote and those of my friends add up to those few hundred or thousand votes that can and will separate a loser and a winner.... If you won’t vote or don’t vote, and you have every means available TO vote, then for me it means you do not get to talk. So stfu. That fires me up.”

“[That] there is a chance, a small chance, that we can make things better for the not-rich Americans.”

It’s pretty clear that our community of grassroots supporters is just as frustrated as you are about what’s going wrong with our democracy—and yet we’re all still seriously committed to being part of the solution. But have you chimed in yet?
