Let’s be honest: Looking at the news nowadays can be pretty depressing. It seems like we face a never-ending cycle of tragedies and setbacks. But – it’s not all bad, and this makes it all the more important to celebrate when things go our way!

After months of negotiations and advocacy from Democratic leadership, the Senate has finally passed the $430 billion Inflation Reduction Act. John, let’s take a moment to recap some of the great stuff that’s in this legislation:

1. The bill contains landmark measures to fight back against climate change, such as incentives for both individuals and businesses to curb their emissions and invest in clean energy. It also includes funds that will be invested directly towards low-income communities that are most impacted by climate change.
2. It will help make healthcare more affordable for millions of Americans by reforming Medicare and capping drug costs. It also expands on the Affordable Care Act to provide financial assistance toward premiums.
3. And the best part? It’s funded largely by making big corporations pay their fair share.
