Hi John, did you see this? We are inching closer to the most important climate election in recent history. The next class of Congress will decide what climate action will be made into law. Will the 118th Congress be the moment we combat climate change? It’s up to you to decide. 
 

There are less than 90 days until November 8th, and we need every EDF Action Member to take a stand and commit to voting for pro-climate candidates. Earlier this week, the Senate passed the Inflation Reduction Act, the single largest investment in climate change to provide climate justice and good-paying clean energy jobs because thousands of EDF Action Members like you took action in 2018 and 2020; they took the pledge and committed to electing leaders who would pass climate action. 

We have a chance to set the agenda and priorities for the next legislative cycle if every member reading this email commits to vote in the midterm elections on November 8th.

We have 90 days left until this November’s election! We can’t afford to sit this election out. 

From record-breaking heat waves, terrifying wildfires and devastating floods across the globe, climate change will continue to magnify these extreme weather threats, making them more frequent and severe. 

It is clear: we need a climate majority in Congress that will protect our environment and preserve life on our planet for future generations. This year’s elections are crucial for our goals. It’s up to us to elect leaders who:
 

• Believe that climate change requires action at the pace and scale this crisis demands;
• Want to protect our land, water and air from pollution;
• Will invest in good-paying jobs in America’s clean energy economy; and
• Are ready to pass a bold and transformative climate agenda.

It is so important for you to take the first step to protect our climate progress and build the pro-climate majority! We need to know 10,000 climate voters will show up and vote in the midterms by August 31st!
