Yesterday, I was proud to cast my vote for the Inflation Reduction Act – the largest investment in our planet’s future in U.S. history. This transformational piece of legislation is now headed to President Biden’s desk for his signature.

It will not only lower out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs and clean energy, it will help lead our nation toward a greener future by reducing our carbon emissions by 40% by 2030, putting billions into creating clean manufacturing jobs, and investing $60 billion to confront environmental injustice.

Yet not a single Republican in Congress voted for this historic piece of legislation. Let me be clear: this victory would not have been possible without you and your support.

While we’re working hard to advance President Biden’s agenda, Republicans are even more emboldened to reclaim majorities in Congress to erase our progress. We need to make sure they never get that opportunity, but we can’t do it without your support.
