Hello John,

I’m a longtime public servant fighting for rural and working families in the U.S. House of Representatives – and this year, I'm one of Republicans top targets for defeat.

My seat used to be thought safe, but after redrawing my district and passing their voter suppression bill, Republicans now believe they can flip it, and by doing so, flip the whole U.S. House red.

Now FiveThirtyEight says I’m the most competitive seat in Georgia. So I'm trying to identify supporters who believe in the same things as me, like one of my top priorities — passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.

The largest voting rights package in modern history was approved by the House of Representatives — but it will die in the Senate unless we all raise our voices. Will you help by demanding Congress pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act? → [link removed]

The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act is a major, comprehensive piece of legislation aimed to create a more equitable democratic process. The law will restore Civil Rights-era voter protections that the Trump Administration rolled back.

John Lewis and his colleagues in the Civil Rights Movement made voting rights the law of the land until 2013. Losing this safeguard was a massive blow that enabled the constant attacks on voting access that we saw in 2020, continue today, and have put my seat in danger. Now is our chance to restore John Lewis’s legacy.
