John,

I, like many of you, am still struggling with the recent events that we are confronted with regarding Trump and his treasonous actions. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined a former American President under investigation by the FBI for espionage. Can you even imagine the overwhelming evidence that had to be presented in order for a judge to sign off on a warrant for the private residence of a former President? 

The law is not based on speculation or hearsay, if they got that warrant it's because they have evidence! Now look, I’m not saying an indictment is coming tomorrow but it is coming. Hollywood couldn’t have scripted this, but then again, the best movies are always based on a true story. I, for one, will not be satisfied until we see Trump behind bars where he belongs. 

If Trump did indeed violate the Espionage Act, that’s high treason. You and I know what Donald Trump is capable of, the lows he’ll stoop to in order to retain power at all costs. But how will his enablers respond? How will his supporters respond?

Friends, Trump must be held accountable. When he is, it will be a win for American justice. But we will still have a political battle on our hands. Just look at the GOP response. They’re going to fight tooth and nail no matter what revelations come forth, no matter what crimes Donald Trump is guilty of. They’ll back him to the bitter end.

We’re talking Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ron Johnson, and the rest of the Treason Caucus. Folks, we’re in these battles to fight for Democracy with everything we’ve got.  And I’m calling on all Americans to do this as well.  Now, not all of you may be able to donate, and that’s fine. But do what you can – anything you can.

Volunteer to help on social media. Get involved with a campaign and go knock on some doors. Tell your friends and relatives to sign up to vote blue. And if you don’t have the time but you’re fortunate enough funds to spare, then donate so we can take up that fight on your behalf. It’s going to take our collective effort to defeat the GOP at the polls this November.

We get to be a part of creating the Blue Wave, helping rural and working-class Dems connect with each other. We get to put our best foot forward knowing we’re Team Democracy. We’re in this, not for the power of one corrupt man but for the power of all Americans.
