"They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore, you did not desert them."

- Nehemiah 9:17
Africa & Europe

Praise God for the acquittal of Jacinta, a woman in Kenya who was accused of robbery with violence despite the lack of evidence for her involvement in a crime. After seven long years facing charges that could carry a life sentence, Jacinta was acquitted of all charges and can live as a free woman!

Paise God for justice was achieved for Isha* and Lucy*, two girls in the Dominican Republic survivors of sex trafficking. After about 1 and a half years of trial, a woman was sentenced to 15 years for exploiting them. This is the third ever trafficking sentence in the city of Santiago located in the northern part of the country. Pray that more courts would rule to protect vulnerable children like Isha and Lucy and would hold their perpetrators accountable.
South Asia

Pray for IJM and other anti-trafficking agencies as we seek to understand the impacts of COVID-19 on labor, migration, and modern slavery. Early reports showed how the pandemic increased poverty and vulnerability for families across the region—as people lost work and families met unexpected expenses. In the long-term, we are just beginning to see how this crisis has pushed families into high-risk work or human trafficking situations. Pray we could understand the landscape well so we can equip our government partners to respond efficiently.

Pray for our office as we go through the recruitment process for several critical positions. Ask the Lord to help our Cebu Office to find Lawyers, Social Workers, a Publication Coordinator, and a Strategist. Pray that we add new family members to IJM who are committed and will contribute to helping others.
IJM Global Office & Partners

IJM global office is located in the United States. IJM has Partner Offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Pray for our staff and family members. We ask the Lord to bestow patience, wisdom and joy on all the children and their families at IJM as they enter the new school year.

The updates we share on survivors or their cases can become sensitive over time. To respect and protect
them,
please refrain from posting these prayer requests online.
