John,
It’s official: Governor Ricketts announced that he does not have enough votes to call a special legislative session to restrict safe and legal access to abortion. That means abortion will remain legal in Nebraska — for now.
Will you chip in to make sure our district can hold the line for our reproductive freedom this November and elect a congresswoman who will safeguard our right to choose?

Folks, Governor Ricketts needed the support of 33 senators to call a session; he only had support from 30 — and had Patty Pansing Brooks not been working here in Nebraska to defend our right to make our own health care decisions, he would’ve been able to mobilize the votes he needed to restrict abortion access.
Patty and her 14 pro-choice colleagues are a testament: When we stand together, we win. These legislators formed an immovable xxxxxx to defend our reproductive health care autonomy against extreme attack after attack — now, it’s up to voters to continue fighting at the ballot box this November.
Patty’s anti-choice opponent has already voted against both contraception AND abortion, and he will continue chiseling away at our reproductive health care autonomy if we don’t vote him out this November. Will you stand with the majority of Nebraskans who believe abortion is necessary health care and support Patty’s campaign for Congress today?:
Today is a huge win for Nebraska. With your help, we can deliver the same protection for reproductive health care in November.
Onward,
Chris Triebsch
