It's no secret that inflation has made it harder for people to make ends meet. Folks are feeling the squeeze of rising costs across the globe and in America.
But today – I have some good news! Congress has come together to send the Inflation Reduction Act to President Biden's desk for a signature.
This legislation will lower the cost of life-saving prescription drugs, reinvest in domestic manufacturing, reduce health care costs for millions of Americans, and shrink the deficit. On top of that, this legislation will lower energy costs and create thousands of new jobs in the green energy sector. It’s the largest investment in climate resilience and environmental justice in America's history!
One of my top priorities for the folks across our state has always been to reduce costs so everyone can get ahead. I proudly supported this inflation-cutting proposal in the House to deliver results, not just for Washington State, but for everyone who has been feeling the squeeze of rising costs.
