Clean, renewable energy is key in the fight to save our planet from a climate crisis.

North Carolina has been a leader in renewable resources. Our state has the second highest solar capacity in the country, and businesses from the mountains to the coast are investing more in clean energy initiatives.

Now -- just after the Northern Hemisphere’s hottest summer on record -- is not the time to stop these efforts.

Earlier this month, I stood up to the proposed federal changes that would have endangered renewable energy investments and hurt both North Carolina’s economy and our environment.

North Carolina is a beautiful state with rich natural resources, and I know that protecting it doesn’t just mean preserving our coastlines and fighting for clean air -- it also means advancing our economy and generating new investments in the technologies of the future.

But I can’t do this work without your help.
