Andy Harris stays out of the headlines, but he’s one of the most extreme members of Congress. And in the last few weeks, has repeatedly voted against protecting important rights.
In the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade and gutting abortion rights nationwide, Harris voted against protecting the right to an abortion and against a bill that would protect women and girls from being punished for crossing state lines to receive abortion care.
But voting against these bills is just his first step. Harris is part of a group of extremist lawmakers who are already working up a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions if Republicans take control of Congress.
He is a danger to women’s health and our nation and must be defeated.
