Our work to elect pro-Israel candidates is gaining national attention.
Much has been written about our community’s political engagement over the last few months, especially after Haley Stevens became the 11th AIPAC-backed pro-Israel candidate to defeat a detractor of the U.S.-Israel relationship in this election cycle.
"Anti-Israel players are not known for 'good faith' criticism of Israel. They much prefer to play hardball and lobby the US government to pressure Israel, and if Israel doesn’t capitulate, to threaten to undermine Israel’s security assistance. AIPAC has the right, if not the duty, to push back… This is consistent with AIPAC’s longtime mission to build bipartisan support for Israel, and so far, it looks like it’s working," Suissa writes.
I encourage you read and share these important pieces with those whom you know are following our work.
Finally, AIPAC hosted Middle East expert David Makovsky on the app for an in-depth analysis of last week’s conflict between Israel and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Below are links to watch the program on-demand, and to register for our event on Monday with Former IDF Spokesperson Jonathan Conricus.
Have a great weekend,

The Abraham Accords: Two Years Later
Tomorrow marks two years since Israel and the UAE reached a historic agreement to normalize relations, known as the Abraham Accords, ushering in a new era of peace and cooperation in the region.
Shortly after, Israel reached similar agreements with Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.
Why it matters: Brokered by the United States, these agreements have resulted in historic diplomatic achievements, people-to-people engagement, and bilateral cooperation — dramatically transforming the region for the better.
During President Biden’s trip to Israel last month, he underscored strong U.S. support for the Abraham Accords.
He remarked how critical it is "for Israel to be totally integrated into the region," and challenged the leaders of Middle Eastern nations to ask, at every step, "what can we achieve together?"
The bottom line: The impact of the Abraham Accords – made possible by a strong U.S.-Israel partnership – demonstrates that engaging with Israel, rather than boycotting Israel, creates remarkable opportunities for peace, prosperity and progress.

Helit Barel, former executive director of the Council for Peace and Security and former director at the Israel National Security Council, sits down with AIPAC to analyze Israel’s current security situation.
