Yesterday, we fell $6,189 short. So now, we need to raise $31,189 before midnight to make up the ground we lost AND meet today’s $25,000 goal. Now here’s the full story:
Republicans have outraised us multiple times this cycle -- and not just by a few dollars. They’ve brought in nearly $175 MILLION, and that money’s going straight to states with vulnerable Democratic incumbents like Raphael Warnock in Georgia or promising Democratic challengers like John Fetterman in Pennsylvania.
Mitch McConnell knows that he needs only one more seat to retake control of the Senate, so that means Democrats have no room for error. But yesterday was a big error -- we missed our daily fundraising goal by more than $6,000!
If we fall short again today, we’ll lag even further behind. Every day we miss the mark, the numbers get more daunting -- that's what I mean when I talk about the risk of an insurmountable snowball effect. If we let this keep happening, we'll lose control of the Senate for sure.
To beat McConnell and his megadonors, we don’t just need to reach today’s goal -- we have to make up for yesterday’s shortfall, too. That’s exactly $31,189 by midnight.
