Three thousand dollars in just a few days may sound ambitious, but this team has done amazing things before — like electing me as Nevada’s Attorney General by a margin of just 4,533 votes in 2018. If we can edge out a victory like that, this fundraising goal should be a piece of cake.

But let me explain why this deadline is so important. We use mid-month and end-of-month fundraising deadlines to ensure our campaign is hitting the financial benchmarks necessary to run a successful campaign. Because the truth is, campaigning takes money.

We need resources to staff up and hire the best people in the business to work on our strategy, communications, digital, and organizing. We need resources to run ads on television and online. We need resources to connect with voters, remind them of the stakes of this election, and get them information on early voting and their polling place.

This election is too important to let any of these things slip through the cracks simply because we couldn’t afford it. National Republicans are pouring money into my race in an effort to unseat me, and it’s critical that we’re able to compete.
