We did it. I’m the nominee for U.S. Senate in Vermont.

I was just a kid when I dropped out of college and hitchhiked to Chicago to organize against housing discrimination. That choice set me on a path to public service and led me to this moment. Every victory since then, including my nomination for U.S. Senate, wouldn’t have been possible without the help of passionate grassroots supporters committed to fighting for their fellow Americans, from Vermont to New Mexico.

But the general election will be a much bigger challenge. With a 50-50 Senate, the GOP will flip the Senate red if they win this seat. Mitch McConnell's PAC has more than $100 million in the bank, and national Republicans have already said they want to target this “sleeper” race.

So I need your help. Will you split a donation between Martin Heinrich and me today and help protect the Senate majority?

There’s so much at stake in this election: lower prescription drug costs, reproductive rights, and honoring our promises to our veterans. All of those possibilities go away if we lose this seat and Mitch McConnell becomes majority leader again.

We can’t let that happen. So I ask you, will you become a founding donor of our general election campaign by splitting a contribution between Martin Heinrich and me?

Let’s do this,

Peter
